Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Health Research
The aim of our teaching and research is to improve sexual and reproductive health status. Our work provides vital insights into sexual behaviour in the UK and internationally, and informs policy and practice. We work with a holistic concept of sexual health and focus on the design and evaluation of interventions aimed at preventing harms associated with sexual behaviour, and also on those improving sexual function and well-being. Our work has a strong focus on the determinants of risk behaviour, risk reduction practice and factors influencing uptake of preventive interventions and services. We have particular expertise in evaluative research and the interface between research and policy.
